The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has finally arrested Rochas Okorocha, an All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential aspirant.

EFCC picked up Okorocha from his residence in Maitama area of Abuja on Tuesday evening.

The anti-graft agency had earlier invaded the residence of the former Imo State governor in an attempt to arrest him.

Wike, Ortom, Makinde, Donald Duke Visit Obasanjo

Samuel Ortom, governor of Benue, and his colleagues from Oyo and Rivers states, Seyi Makinde and Nyesom Wike, held a meeting with former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Monday.

Donald Duke, former governor of Cross River, also attended the meeting.

The meeting, which held behind closed doors, took place at the residence of the former president in Abeokuta, the Ogun capital.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has explained why it stormed the residence of a former Governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha, on Tuesday.

According to the agency, Senator Okorocha has refused to honour invitations after jumping administrative bail.

Reacting to EFCC’s presence at his residence on Tuesday, Senator Okorocha has accused the agency of holding him hostage in his own home.

Bishop Akinfenwa Speaks About Nigerians

Population Commission Engages Nigerian Army Over 2023 Census

The leadership of the National Population Commission (NPC) met with the Nigerian Army on Tuesday.

The NPC sought the support of the military arm to ensure a credible census.

The Chairman, Nasiru Isa Kwarra led senior officials on a visit to the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lt. Gen. Faruk Yahaya.

Kwarra disclosed that the commission was engaging major stakeholders ahead of the 2023 census.

Governor Ikpeazu Emerges PDP Candidate For Abia South

Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu on Tuesday picked the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ticket to contest for Abia South Senatorial District seat in the 2023 general election.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Gov. Ikpeazu, the lone aspirant, emerged unopposed as the party’s candidate at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba.
